INN ECHO
Inn Echo crafts a cinematic, high-energy sound rooted in Celtic traditions, blending fierce fiddle, grooving guitar, and soaring cello.
After six remarkable years touring three continents and earning Music PEI awards along with JUNO, ECMA, and CFMAnominations, Inn Echo have plenty to reflect on — but it’s the future that excites them most. Their 2023 album Hemispheres captures the spirit of their journey, drawing inspiration from festivals like Australia’s Woodford Folk Festival and Scotland’s Shetland Folk Festival while pushing the boundaries of what three trad instrumentalists can achieve. From their home base on Prince Edward Island, they continue to evolve their sound and explore new tours, territories, and creative horizons.
Formed in 2019, the trio — fiddler Karson McKeown (Ottawa, ON), 5-string fiddler and cellist Tuli Porcher (Victoria, BC), and guitarist Tom Gammons (Butte, MT) — first connected at a lively session in a Charlottetown pub. Their chemistry was instant, and their blend of precision, adventurous harmony, and rhythmic depth has defined their signature sound. With Hemispheres, they showcase original compositions alongside reimagined traditional tunes, weaving PEI roots into stories that resonate across continents. Whether invoking an Acadian kitchen party or the night sky over Queensland, Inn Echo invite audiences to pull up a chair — but keep their dancing shoes on.
